Thank you so much for your support!

My project is to create a music therapy class for special needs children. The class will aid in the development of these children through music and teach them fundamental learning skills. My class will be held biweekly for six weeks. Since the class is largely based on handson musical experience, I will need to have an adequate amount of instruments. These specialized instruments must be easily used by children of all levels of ability. I will also need parachutes and scarves to teach them colors and hand-eye coordination. My gold award requires me to raise the money to purchase these items. As a Girl Scout, I cannot personally be responsible for any money. Kindly, Dave Janssen’s School of Music has agreed to handle all of the money for this project directly. They have a purchase order ready to order the specialized instruments and you can pledge any monetary amount, large or small, to them. The total amount I need is $640 to get my class started. To further the longevity of my efforts, all of the instruments I attain, will remain in our community at both The First Five of California Developmental Center and Simi Valley Hospital’s Child Development Center. This, along with my lesson plans and CD’s will insure that the program can continue to help these children with special needs in our community. Please contact Dave Janssen’s School of Music to make a charitable donation to “Lynnzee’s Gold Award Project” C/O Dave Janssen’s School of Music. They are located, near El Pollo Loco restaurant, off of 1st Street. They can be reached by phone, or email, info@davejanssen.com or you can visit the school directly. They accept credit cards, checks or cash donations in care of my project. Thank you!
